It is our mission to provide excellent education and training to improve and maintain the knowledge, skills and attitudes of our staff and volunteers. We also offer our training modules to staff external to the Hospice to promote best practice and high-quality palliative and end-of-life care to our local colleagues.
Education and training enables us to enhance and maintain the highest standards of quality directly in patient care and throughout all Hospice departments.
Our courses and workshops are open to a wide range of healthcare professionals and students. We are happy to adapt our existing training to better meet your needs, or to create bespoke training packages if required.
We’re dedicated to improvement
We are pleased to present a range of short courses and workshops designed to meet your developmental needs, both personal and professional. We have a selection of learning opportunities including;

- Communication skills relevant across all healthcare specialties, and those particularly important in palliative care.
- Leadership and management skills to help support you wherever you work.

From the training it was clear to see what a positive and comforting place the Hospice is. The facilitators were fantastic so welcoming, knowledgeable and experienced. I was fully engaged throughout the two-day course and gained so much knowledge to take forwards into my own role.
