Our 24-Hour Advice Line is available seven days a week, 365 days a year and is manned by trained and experienced nursing staff providing support to patients, relatives, carers and health care professionals.

Our 24-Hour Advice Line Service
Our 24-Hour Advice Line offers telephone access to a specialist nurse with experience of caring for people with serious illnesses. The service is available to patients, relatives or carers, and health care professionals involved in a patient’s care. We can provide advice on pain control, symptom control and emotional support. Depending on the advice required, our nurse may need to ring the caller back within a specified time in order to access the information required. All callers will be contacted again the following day to ensure the situation has been addressed. Please note, our 24-Hour Advice Line is not an emergency service, and must not be used for referring patients to the Hospice.

Health Care professionals
Whilst the 24-Hour Advice Line is available to support and advise on your care for your patients and their families, it cannot provide prescribing advice. For advice on pharmacological symptom management, please refer to the Greater Manchester and Eastern Cheshire SCN Guidelines.
It wasn’t just an advice line, it was a lifeline for our family when we needed help the most!
