Our Catering Team rely on volunteers in our kitchen, Hospice Café and supporting on our tea trolley to run their essential services.

Supporting our Catering Team

Catering volunteers provide vital support for our Catering Team enabling our café to run, supporting with meal preparation for our Inpatient Unit as well as manning our daily tea trolley so are a key part of the running of our Hospice services.

The catering volunteer roles help during regular weekly timeslots typically between 9.30am – 3pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability.

What to expect:

Catering specific:

  1. Helping our Catering Team with basic food preparation, washing up and other support as needed.
  2. Serving food and drinks to customers within the Café.
  3. Washing up and cleaning down equipment.

Tea trolley:

  1. Preparing the refreshments trolley with tea and coffee.
  2. Serving refreshments to patients and relatives on our Inpatient Unit.
  3. Washing up and cleaning down equipment.
