After joining us at our Strictly event in February, West End singer Melanie Marshall then paid a surprise visit to our Dementia Hub.
The Oldham-born performer is known for her performances in stage productions like Guys and Dolls and Only Fools and Horses – The Musical.
Melanie also has a personal connection to Dr Kershaw’s, after her mother Costella was cared for by our doctors and nurses. Costella Marshall sadly passed away aged 77 at the Hospice in December 2016, surrounded by her family and friends.
Melanie joined us to entertain our audience at our Strictly event back in February, before dropping by the Dementia Hub in early April, during a music session to sing a touching rendition of George Gershwin’s ‘Summertime’.
Kim Wrigley, Hospice Dementia Champion said: “The visit from Melanie was very special. Our participants really enjoyed themselves, as always!”
